"Moose is not only my best friend, he gets me through every single day.
Moose has been there for me when I have needed him most, and it’s my turn to be there for him. I hate to see him hurting, however he has a partial tear of his back left ACL that is going to need surgery.
Our veterinarian at the VCA of Parker Colorado is amazing, and I am confident he will be back to his bouncy self soon! I am also grateful to Gunner’s Wheels for the loan of a canine wheelchair!
Moose and I would be very grateful if you would donate towards his surgery, and it would make a real difference in our lives, as we hope to graduate college together this spring.
His surgery will cost $5,906.22, and he is scheduled for Thursday April 4th."

Hi, I’m Madelaine, your Student Body President.
I don’t talk about myself very often but I’m originally from a ski town here in Colorado. I was literally born in a cabin with only a wood stove for heat.
The plus side was that I could snowboard all the time (which I did). I began riding in preschool, and have loved it ever since. There’s something special about the Colorado mountains and it’s a big part of my heart.
I am also a domestic violence survivor….which is why Moose is my wingman now, and EVERYBODY loves Moose!
As a first gen student, it’s been important to me to listen to every student’s concerns in order to understand their perspective AND to actually make positive changes, both on & off our campus. I know what it’s like to feel like no one hears you, and I want you to feel empowered by your student leaders.
Student Leadership is about action, service, visibility and accountability.
Currently I have been collaborating with the Office of the Provost, Student Affairs, the Diversity Office, Counseling and Wellness Office, and student clubs and organizations to ensure community spirit and retention values. My main priority for the community is to develop the conversation and representation of what embodies hope. As not only standing as a symbolic gesture of individual vulnerability, hope is significantly powerful in collective action. As Regis' community continues to transition, grow, and flourish, this message will be representative of the inclusive nature of our Jesuit values and ideals. Upholding our roots as a Catholic Jesuit institution, now being recognized as an HSI, it is our responsibility to further service work and demonstrate to this community our efforts for their inclusion. In relation to an expanding discourse on mental health, a physical communication of hope may inspire and encourage positive unity. Hope is a fundamental human emotion that shapes our perspective on life and how we cope with adversity. With encouraging positive messages of hope on our campus, we would be addressing practices of resilience and motivation, mental health, solidarity, creativity, and growth. Hope is a clear component of the foundations of our faith-based institution, inherently rooted in our beliefs in humanity and meaningful service. As a monolithic display like this, our campus and surrounding communities may feel heard, encouraged, and welcomed by Regis. I am eager to continue this work together with you and the Regis community this year.
In his spare time Moose enjoys being a professional cheese taster.
